LED Wall Cost & Size Calculator

A typical NYC LED video wall rents for $3,500–$15,000+ per day all-in — panels, processing, rigging, delivery, and an on-site tech. Estimate your cost, panel count, resolution, and pixel pitch (P1.9 indoor / P3.9 outdoor) in seconds below, then send the specs for an exact quote — built on the real day-rate pricing of a Brooklyn studio that rents and runs these walls.

How the estimate works

Honest math, not a lead-gen trap — here is exactly how the numbers are built.

Two pitches, by environment. We run P1.9 for indoor walls — fine enough for close audiences and on-camera IMAG — and P3.9 for outdoor, built bright and weatherproof to read in daylight and from a distance. The calculator sets the pitch from your indoor or outdoor choice, so there is nothing to guess.

Panel count and resolution come from the wall size. Our LED is built on modular 500 mm (about 1.6 ft) panels, so the tool snaps your width and height to a whole-panel grid and multiplies by each pitch’s per-panel resolution for a true pixel map.

Cost is built from real day rates. Most NYC event walls land between $3,500 and $15,000+ per day all-in — panels, processing, rigging, delivery, setup, and an on-site tech — and the estimate scales that by square footage, pixel pitch, indoor vs outdoor (outdoor adds roughly 20–50% for brightness and weatherproofing), and a build-and-hold discount on multi-day runs. It returns a range, because rigging and venue load-in move the final number.

It is an estimate, not a quote. For a real number — and the content that runs on the wall — send us the size, venue, and date and we come back same-day.

P1.9 indoor vs P3.9 outdoor

The calculator offers two pixel pitches — here is how our P1.9 indoor and P3.9 outdoor LED walls compare.

Calculator questions, answered.

How much does it cost to rent an LED wall in NYC?

All-in day rates run $3,500–$15,000+ (panels, processing, rigging, delivery, and on-site tech), with outdoor adding 20–50% and concert or virtual-production builds reaching $50,000+. Enter your dimensions in the calculator for a sized estimate.

Which pixel pitch should I choose, P1.9 or P3.9?

Choose P1.9 for indoor screens viewed up close and P3.9 for outdoor or longer-distance viewing. Toggle between the two in the calculator to compare.

How many LED panels do I need for my wall?

Panels are modular 500mm blocks, so any wall size divides into half-meter increments. Enter your target width and height in the calculator to get the exact panel count.

Can I use an LED wall outdoors?

Yes — our P3.9 outdoor panels are IP65-rated and wind-engineered at up to ~5,000 nits for daylight, while indoor P1.9 runs 800–1,500 nits. We install same-week across the five boroughs and tri-state; reach us at wlab@wlab.tech.
