Outdoor LED Wall Rental — Daylight-Readable Screens, Wind-Load Rigged for NYC

The dedicated outdoor build: daylight-readable LED walls for the open air — 5,000-nit IP-rated panels from P1.5 to P3.9, engineered to their wind load, powered, and run by the same NYC studio that programs the content on screen.

Large outdoor LED screen at a daytime festival in NYC

Built for sun, wind, and weather

Outdoor is a different build than indoor — brighter, sealed, and engineered to stay up safely in real conditions. Here is what an outdoor LED wall actually puts on site.

THE WALL

5,000-nit, IP-rated panels

Daylight-readable LED that holds up against direct sun — not a dim indoor screen pushed outside. Sealed cabinets are IP-rated front and back against rain and dust, with pixel pitch from P1.5 to P3.9 picked to your viewing distance. Modular 500 mm panels scale to almost any width and height.

THE RIGGING

Wind-load engineered

Ground-stacked or hung, every outdoor build is rigged to its wind load — ballast, bracing, and structure sized for the site and the forecast. We pull permits and provide engineering sign-off where the venue or city requires it.

THE POWER

Power and heat handled

We spec the draw, bring distro, and coordinate generators or tie-ins so the wall has clean, sufficient power. Outdoor panels run hot in sun — our cabinets and on-site tech keep them in range all day.

THE CONTENT

Graded for daylight

Motion graphics, loops, and live feeds formatted to the wall's exact resolution and graded to read in full sun by our in-house content studio — not a file that washes out at noon.

Brightness, pixel pitch, and weather sealing

The three specs that decide whether an outdoor screen works: how bright, how fine, and how sealed.

Brightness is the whole game outdoors. Indoor walls run around 800 nits; an outdoor screen in direct sun needs up to 5,000 nits or it disappears at midday. We rate every outdoor wall for daylight so it reads clearly from across a plaza, a festival field, or a parking lot — not just after dark.

Pixel pitch follows viewing distance. Crowds stand farther back outdoors, so a P3.9 wall is usually the right, cost-efficient call for big stages and large-format signage. When viewers get close — a storefront activation, a step-and-repeat, a tight courtyard — we drop to P2.6 or finer so the image stays sharp up close.

Weather sealing is non-negotiable. Outdoor cabinets are IP-rated against rain and dust, front and rear, so a passing shower doesn't end your show. We watch the forecast with you, set wind thresholds during rigging, and plan covers and drainage so the wall stays safe and on through the run.

What we rent outdoor LED walls for

Festivals and concerts, brand activations, sports and fan zones, outdoor corporate events, film and TV exteriors, and large-format building-side signage. If it lives outside and needs to be seen in daylight, we build it.

EVENTS & FESTIVALS

Stages and fan zones

Main-stage backdrops, side-screens, and crowd-facing walls sized for open fields and big sightlines — rigged for wind and run by an on-site tech for your whole event.

BRAND ACTIVATIONS

Plazas and pop-ups

Daylight-bright walls for street-level activations and sponsorships in NYC plazas, parks, and rooftops — with content built to stop foot traffic, not just play in the background.

FILM & BROADCAST

Exterior shoots

Outdoor LED for in-camera backgrounds, exterior set extensions, and live broadcast — calibrated and color-managed for camera. See our virtual production work for the indoor-volume side.

What an outdoor LED wall rental costs

One number, everything included — no surprises after the truck leaves.

Most NYC event walls run $3,500 to $15,000+ per day all-in indoors, and outdoor adds roughly 20–50% on top for the same footprint — so most outdoor builds land between about $4,500 and $22,000+ per day. The 5,000-nit panels, weather sealing, wind-load rigging, and power distribution cost more than a dim screen on a stand, and we'd rather quote it right than have it fail in the sun.

Your number moves with size, pixel pitch, run length, rigging complexity, and whether you need generators or permits. Rigging, crew, processing, power, and content are included in the quote, not bolted on after. Tell us the date, venue, and rough size and we'll come back same-day with a real figure.

Looking for an indoor or mixed setup instead? Our LED wall rental and LED screen rental hubs cover the general indoor-default builds; this page is the dedicated outdoor one.

QUESTIONS

Outdoor LED walls, answered.

How much does it cost to rent an outdoor LED wall in NYC?

Indoor event walls run $3,500–$15,000+ per day all-in, and outdoor adds roughly 20–50% on top, so most outdoor builds land between about $4,500 and $22,000+ per day — daylight-bright panels, weather-sealed cabinets, wind-load rigging, power distribution, an on-site tech, and content all included. Size, pixel pitch, run length, and whether you need generators or permits move the number. Send your date and venue for a same-day quote.

How bright does an outdoor LED wall need to be?

Up to 5,000 nits for direct sun. Indoor walls run near 800 nits, which washes out at midday outdoors. We rate every outdoor wall for daylight so it reads clearly across a plaza or festival field — bright at noon, comfortable after dark.

Are your outdoor LED walls weatherproof?

Yes. Outdoor cabinets are IP-rated against rain and dust, front and rear, so a passing shower doesn't stop the show. We set wind thresholds during rigging, watch the forecast with you, and plan covers and drainage so the wall stays safe and on through your run.

How do you handle rigging and wind load outdoors?

Every outdoor build is engineered to its wind load — ground-stacked with ballast and bracing or hung from approved structure, sized for the site and forecast. We pull permits and provide engineering sign-off where the venue or city requires it, and an on-site crew runs it the whole time.

What about power for an outdoor screen?

We spec the draw, bring distribution, and coordinate generators or venue tie-ins so the wall has clean, sufficient power for the full run. Outdoor panels also run hot in sun, so our cabinets and on-site tech keep them in range all day — power and heat are on us, not a surprise on site.

How fast can you deliver and install an outdoor wall?

Most outdoor rentals go out same-week across NYC and the tri-state, and rush is often possible. Outdoor adds rigging engineering and possible permits, so the sooner you send the date, venue, and size, the faster we lock it in.
