How much does it cost to rent an LED wall in NYC?

“How much does it cost to rent an LED wall in NYC?” is the first question almost every producer asks us, and the honest answer is: it depends on a handful of things you control — a small lobby screen for a one-day activation is a very different number than a 30-foot stage backdrop for a multi-day conference.

This guide gives you real ranges, the factors that move the price, and what is and isn't included so the final invoice matches the quote. For most events, expect a day rate between roughly $3,500 and $15,000 per day, with concert-scale and virtual-production builds running higher.

Typical NYC day-rate ranges

For most corporate events, activations, galas, and conferences in the five boroughs, LED wall rentals land between about $3,500 and $15,000 per day, all-in with crew. A compact panel-stage screen or a lobby display sits toward the lower end; a large main-stage backdrop, a multi-screen setup, or a flown install in a strict-load-in venue sits toward the upper end. Concert-scale walls and curved virtual-production volumes are quoted separately. Because setup and strike labor is largely fixed, a two-day event isn't double a one-day rate — multi-day bookings lower your effective per-day cost.

What actually drives the price

Five things move a quote more than anything else: the screen area (LED is priced largely by square footage of panels), the pixel pitch (we stock P1.5–P3.9mm — a tighter pitch costs more but is only needed for close-up viewing), indoor vs. outdoor (outdoor needs brighter, weather-rated panels and heavier rigging), the number of days on site, and the rigging and labor (ground-stacked is simple; flown from truss or hung in a union house adds crew hours). The single easiest way to control cost is to match the pixel pitch to the actual viewing distance instead of buying the tightest pitch available.

Content is a real line item

The wall is only half the job — what plays on it decides whether it reads as a premium centerpiece. If you have finished graphics built to the wall's exact resolution, content cost is minimal; if you need motion graphics, resizing, a sizzle reel, or live-camera content built, that's design and production work. Because we're a studio, not just a rental house, we can crew the wall and make the content in one timeline — or just provide the hardware if that's all you need.

What's included, and what's extra

Typically included in the day rate: the LED panels, the processing and signal gear, standard rigging hardware, delivery in our service area, and a real tech on site for the whole event. Usually quoted as variables: content design, specialty or motorized rigging, generator power for outdoor sites, overnight install windows, extended multi-day labor, and venue-imposed charges like union labor or COIs. The goal is a quote with no asterisks — itemized so you can see where to trim.

How to get an accurate number, fast

You don't need final plans. Send four things — approximate screen size or wall dimensions, your date and how many days, the venue or borough (and indoor vs. outdoor), and whether you need content made — and we'll turn around a same-day quote. If your date is tight, we do same-week installs. We cover all five boroughs and the tri-state metro from our Brooklyn Navy Yard base. For worked examples, see our pricing page.
